Saurimo – A furniture manufacturer of tables, chairs, armchairs and wardrobes entered into operation Thursday in Saurimo city, eastern Lunda-Sul province, in an investment by Chinese entrepreneurs that employed 36 people.
This is the first manufacturing unit of this kind in that location, installed in an area of more than 700 square meters, which will also produce sanitary ware and kitchen materials.
Adérito Cahanga, municipal administrator of Saurimo, considered the business initiative as an added value for residents to purchase furniture at reasonable prices and with national quality.
He was also pleased with the opening of the factory and appealed to other businesspeople to invest in this district to reduce unemployment rate among youngsters.
The factory's CEO, Wang Xilung, assured that his company has other industrial projects for Lunda-Sul, a fact that requires greater flexibility and openness on the provincial government's side.
