Cazenga – The secretary of State for Economy, Ivan Marques dos Santos, on Tuesday highlighted the need for young people to get involved in the country’s development strategy.
The official, who was delivering a grand lecture at the Angolan Catholic University (UCAN) on “The long term development strategy of Angola”, said young people should be at the helm of the paradigm change process, so a quality education is necessary.
He also defended that the state should continue to guarantee a good business environment, so that foreign investment can enter Angola, since the country needs over USD 100 million dollars to achieve the 2050 agenda goals.
Ivan dos Santos gave emphasis to the launching, by the Executive, of three ambitious programmes at short, medium and long terms, adding that the biggest one is "Planagrão".
This programme (Planagrão), he explained, is turned to the boosting of grains production, so it counts on young people.
The grand lecture was attended by students, scholars, among others.
