Doha - The Angolan pavilion at Expo/2023, in Doha, Qatar, was visited Wednesday by a delegation from the International Exhibition Bureau (IEB) led by its chairperson, Alain Berguer to assess the functioning of the country's exhibition.
The IEB is the body responsible for supervising and regulating all international exhibitions lasting more than three weeks and of a non-commercial nature.
The IEB was made up of 15 members of various nationalities, including the institution's secretary general, Dimitry Kerkentzes, who received explanations from the Angolan commissioner general at the event, Albina Assis, about the contents on display at the fair.
In the section reserved for national gastronomy, the visitors enjoyed Angolan coffee and savoured múcua, a fruit that they considered "eccentric and very tasty".
On this occasion, the IEB delegation witnessed a cultural exhibition of traditional music and dance by the group "Kina Kumoxi", which in the national language of Kimbundu means to dance together.
Under the slogan 'Planting for Life', Angola's participation in Expo/2023 is essentially aimed at attracting investors from Qatar, as it is a country with potential that interests Angola.
