Angola’s daily oil production still below expectations

Luanda - Angola´s daily oil production average for April stood at 1.1 million barrels, of the predicted 1.2 million barrels per day, less than 115,047 barrels of crude oil, ANGOP has learnt.

The initial adjustments emerged from the meeting of OPEC + (Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries) and partners, on 12 April 2020, put at 1,267 mbpd.


The daily crude oil production for the referred month of 2021 reached 35.3 million, according to the monthly report released by the National Agency of Petroleum, Gas and Biofuels (ANPG).

 

In March this year, the country failed to reach the production forecast, as the average production restricted to 1.138 million barrels of oil per day,  against 1.146 million of the expected volume.

 

As compared to March, there was a slight increase of more than 155,000 barrels in April. Crude production in March was 35.2 million barrels.

 

In the third quarter of this year, Angola collected USD 6.03 billion, as the result of the export of 97.8 million barrels of the oil, according to data from the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas.

 

Angola´s production share is expected to reach 1,283 mbpd for May, rising to 1,298 mbpd in June and 1,319 mbpd in July, according to the OPEC+ latest adjustments.
