Ndalatando – At least 200 million kwanzas have been made available to finance street traders and economic agents in Cuanza Norte province, as part of the Informal Economy Reconversion Program (PREI).
Speaking to the press, the president of the Association of Entrepreneurs of Cuanza Norte, Nádia Júlio Laranjeira, said the amounts to be provided by the non-bank financial institution (Kixicrédito), will cover traders in the municipalities of Cazengo and Cambambe.
Nádia Júlio Laranjeira said the funding ranges from 50,000 to seven million kwanzas and will cover individual traders who have a regular business and regularized taxes.
Around one hundred newly formalized business operators in the municipality of Cazengo have already benefited from financial support under PREI.
The traders are part of a group of 1,350 economic agents who have signed up for bank credit to promote commercial activity.EFM/IMA/AC/TED/AMP
