Luanda - The reference prices of the main products on Angolan basic basket, from 20 to 26 June, registered a 36% drop compared to November last year, due to the activation of the Strategic Food Reserve (REA).
For the aforementioned period, forecasts point that the price of a 25-kilogram bag of wheat flour which was 23,000.00 kwanzas, dropped to 8,200 kwanzas, the same amount of cornmeal, went from 13,800 to 6,025 kwanzas.
The value of 50 kilos of sugar, which used to be 24,200 Kwanzas, is now at the price of 18.325 kwanzas, the 25 kilos of Thai rice went from kz 11.737 to 7.000 kwanzas, 12 liters of soy oil, from 11,200 to 11,300 kwanzas.
The 10-kilogram box of chicken thighs dropped from 10.190 to 7.500 kwanzas and the 25-kilo bag of Pinto beans dropped from 24,00 kwanzas to 17,000 kwanzas.
These prices are valid for the entire national territory.
