Cabinda – More than a thousand liters of smuggled fuel that was destined for the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) were seized on Saturday, by the National Police (PN), in the province of Cabinda.
According to a note from the Institutional Communication and Press Office of the Provincial Delegation of the Ministry of the Interior, to which ANGOP had access Monday, the fuel was seized in the border area between Miconje (Cabinda) and Pangui (DRC), when was being transported to the neighboring country.
During the micro-operation, the corporation detained four Angolan citizens accused of fuel smuggling, the product of which was packed in plastic containers of 25 liters each.
Last Friday, the Police in Cabinda also detained, at the Nissan and 1º de Maio pumps, on the outskirts of the city, four other national citizens who were transporting, in a vehicle, 2,275 liters of diesel, which was supposedly being sold in neighboring DRC. JFC/JL/DOJ
