Lobito – Entrepreneurs from the Netherlands are due to visit the province of Benguela in the next few weeks to prospect the agricultural potential of the region, mainly in the production of tropical fruits, ANGOP learned Wednesday.
The information was provided to the press by the Dutch ambassador to Angola, Tsjeard Hoekstra, on the sidelines of a visit to the port of Lobito, to assess, along with its board of directors, the advantages of cooperation in the transport sector.
According to the diplomat, the port of Rotterdam is the biggest port of entry for many products into Europe and thus he sees a good opportunity for cooperation between the two countries, in terms of transporting tropical fruit to the European continent.
Tsjeard Hoekstra, who came to participate in the first International Conference on Logistics and Transport, organized by Katyavala Bwiia University, assured that he has information from his predecessors about the agricultural potential of the province.
