Luanda – Angola has investments in information and communication technology infrastructure which allows the creation of the mobile portfolio for deposit, consultation and withdrawal, instant value transfer and purchase of various products by telephone.
This information was released Wednesday, in Luanda, by the secretary of State for Telecommunication and Information Technology, Pascoal Alé Borges, in the opening ceremony of the 5th Digital Transformation Conference, having stressed that the technological innovation services in the finance field, allows the use of physical currency to be reduced.
The official stated that the technological innovation services enable the nationwide extension of operations and trade wherever traditional banking services are not available.
On the other hand, Pascoal Borges highlighted that the exponential rate of increase of the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in the sector has allowed the spread of the movement of telecommunications networks and mobile services by the electronic communication´s operators and financial technology (Fintechs).
The ICT as an instrument to promote the Electronic Government and the Information and Knowledge Society, also imposes new attitude regarding the proximity between the Government and citizens.
The 5th Digital Transformation Conference on "Telecommunications, Digitalisation and Financial Inclusion," which lasts one day, is attended by Angolan banks and telecommunications and information technology operators.
