Luanda - The country's trade balance posted a positive balance of around 3.3 billion kwanzas, as a result of the behaviour of the crude oil price, the main export product, Angolan news agency Angop learned.
According to the Bulletin of External Trade Statistics for the 2nd quarter of 2021, published by the National Statistics Institute (INE), the 2nd quarter of 2021, compared to the same period of the previous year, saw a rise in the total value of exports of 146.0%, and in the same period imports posted a rise of 48.5%.
According to INE, the main continents of exports, according to the percentage structure, during the period under review were Asia with 85.2%, Europe with 5.5%, Central and South America with 4.3% and Africa with 2.1%.
In terms of imports, the main continents were Europe with 40.8%, Asia with 37.0%, Africa with 9.9% and Central and South America with 7.1%.
The main export partners, according to the percentage structure, during the period under review were China with 64.1%, India with 6.9%, Singapore with 3.6%, United Arab Emirates with 3.5% and Thailand with 3.1%.
As for the main import partners in this period, they were China with 15.8%, Portugal with 12.2%, India with 6.7%, Italy with 5.8% and Togo with 5.7%.
