Sumbe – The completion of the works of the Integrated Infrastructure Development Project in the city of Sumbe, Cuanza-Sul province, is scheduled for next December, at a time when the degree of physical execution of this contract is around 80 percent, the provincial vice-governor for the technical sector, Heitor Alfredo, said on Tuesday.
According to the leader, who was speaking during a field visit carried out by the provincial governor of Cuanza-Sul, Job Capapinha, there is some progress on the part of the company responsible for the works, which are in the phase of placing shackles in the cemetery area, 'Dogs' street and in the 'Matabicho' market.
According to the vice-governor, the streets of the city of Sumbe, already paved, are giving another image, as well as allowing the circulation of people and vehicles without any problems.
Ongoing since 2017, the works are budgeted at more than $460 million dollars and include basic sanitation, integrated infrastructure and slope stabilization works.
For his part, the head of the contractor, Pedro Costa, said that the company is working at its maximum strength so that by December it can deliver the work
He said that the entire sewage system in the city of Sumbe has already been 80 percent replaced, in order to allow the drainage of sewage and rainwater.
The governor's field trip made it possible to see the Sumbe ring road, on a route of 38 kilometers, in addition to holding a meeting with the direction of the National Petroleum Institute. IS/LC/QCB/DOJ
