Luanda – Angola Debt and Securities Exchange - Sociedade Gestora de Mercados Regulamentados (BODIVA-SGMR, SA) handled 215.9 billion kwanzas (USD429.9 million) in the first quarter of 2022.
The amount results from 1,177 trades in that period, in the markets under its management.
The value traded represents a reduction of 2.29 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, ANGOP learned Friday.
According to BODIVA's Quarterly Report, the average monthly amount of trading was 72.32 billion Kwanzas, with January being the month in which there was the most trading, standing at around 122.13 billion.
The document underlines that, in terms of deals, there was a decrease of 16.52 percent, with a monthly average of 392 deals, compared to the first three months of 2021.
Regarding the performance of the negotiation members, it appears that, of the 27 members of BODIVA, 22 contributed to the amount negotiated.
Banco Angolano Investimentos (BAI), Banco de Fomento Angola (BFA), Banco Caixa Geral Angola (BCGA), Banco Internacional de Comércio (BIC) and Banco Millennium Angola (BMA), occupy the top five places whose transactions represented about 81.45% of the market.
Promoting the development of the regulated market for securities and derivatives, as well as contributing decisively to the sustainable financing of the Angolan economy is BODIVA's main mission.
