Luanda- The Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas (MIREMPET) and companies signed on Tuesday, in Luanda Province, the first seven Local Content Programme Contracts, thus marking the implementation of the Presidential Decree in force for three years.
The contracts will be signed between the ministry and the companies Sonangol EP, Etu Energias, Atis-Nebest, Grupo Simples Oil, Cabship, Sonamet and Tecssep.
However, with the signing of the contracts, the ministry will start the implementation of the Presidential Decree nº 271/20 of October, 20, which regulates the necessary conditions for the full increase related to the presence of national companies in oil sector, as well as to generate job opportunities and train national citizens.
The law also aims to give Angolan companies a place in service contracts with operators of oil blocks in the country, entrepreneurs and associations of national local content companies, which previously had little access to contracts related to the sector.
The law created three contracting regimes for Angolan companies: exclusivity, preference and competition. NE/MRA/jmc
