Luanda – Angola’s minister of State for Economic Coordination Manuel Nunes Júnior Saturday reiterated the Angolan foreign exchange market stability, with the appreciation of the local currency (Kwanza) against the main international currencies (dollar and euro).
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 37th edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA/2022), the minister said the budget accounts are healthy, showing positive jumps, with an influence on public debt.
Manuel Nunes Júnior said that the ratio went from 121% in 2020 to 84% in 2021, noting that the country has emerged from the economic recession it had experienced since 2016.
As for FILDA2022, the minister regretted the fact that the event took place at a time of sadness for the country, with the death of the former President of the Republic, José Eduardo dos Santos.
The 37th edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA/2022) has the participation of 630 national and foreign exhibitors represented by 15 countries.
The event takes place from the 16th to the 20th of this month, in the exhibition pavilion of the Special Economic Zone (ZEE).
The event is being held in an area of 28,000m2 under the motto “Disruptive technologies as a factor in the development of the economy”.
