Luanda – Finance minister Vera Daves said last Monday, in Luanda, that the Angolan Executive is working to ensure that the execution of the State General Budget (OGE2021) happen under the parameters of the law and having into account the good practices in public procurement.

Speaking to the press, in the end of the Third Extraordinary Plenary Session of the National Assembly (parliament), which passed the 2021 State General Budget Draft (OGE2021), the minister stressed the government focus on improving the socio-economic condition of Angolans.

The OGE2021 was approved with 141 votes in favour, 48 against and two abstentions.

The document foresees expenses and revenues of about 14.7 billion kwanzas.

The minister reiterated that with a view to maximising the institutional capacity to face risks in the budgetary execution, the OGE2021 was drafted having into account the need to reduce the fiscal deficit.

Thus, the government has been working to stimulate better credit to the economy and the growth of private investment.
