Malanje province promotes 1st investment forum

Malanje- The provincial government of Malanje promotes on the 25th to 27th of this month, the 1st Forum of attracting investment and project financing, aiming to attract national and foreigners to manage businesses in the region and create income and jobs.

The meeting will also serve to stimulate the socio-economic development of the province, through business initiatives private sector and will involve the participation of companies and operators from various sectors, including tourism, from the provinces of Luanda, Cabinda, Cuanza-Norte, among others, as well as the United States of America, South Africa, France, Portugal and Brazil.

Speaking about the event, the provincial deputy governor for the Political, Economic and Social sector, Franco Mufinda, said that the government intends to create premises to leverage the integral development of the province, hence the promotion of this Forum, which will among other aspects, publicize local potential, with emphasis on agriculture, fishing, livestock and mining, without neglect other areas that contribute to promoting the economy.

He pointed out tourism as a priority sector to be addressed during the event, with the provincial government aiming to create conditions for foreigners and explore and monetize the more than 80 points of attraction, living up to the distinction that Malanje obtained on the occasion of the International Tourism Grant (BITUR), held last May in the province of Huíla.

He added that Malanje also lacks investment in the health sector, especially in the areas of medical imaging, optometry and laboratories, therefore, he appealed to businesspeople in the field to invest in these areas, to contribute to the improving the provision of services to patients.

Regarding Education, he made it known that the province needs investments in technical-vocational secondary education and other higher-level areas, aiming to diversify staff training, an aspect to be also presented to the business community during the Forum.

The meeting will also have the participation of Embassies, Chambers of Commerce Angola/United States of America, Angola/China, Angola/Russia and Commercial banks. NC/PBC/DOJ
