Luanda - The president of the opposition UNITA party Adalberto Costa Júnior Monday in Luanda said that the country should reinforce its investment in industrialisation.
The leader of the country’s main opposition party was speaking to the press during his visit to the 37th Luanda International Fair (FILDA 2022), having called for the need to improve social balance, increasing national production, especially in agriculture.
In addition to agriculture, the industry sector deserved particular attention from the Government in the last five years, with incentives for the construction and rehabilitation of several manufacturing units.
During this period, several factories have emerged, with stress to those linked to the sweets, diamond cutting, pasta and mobile phone assembly, as well as the rehabilitation and modernisation of old factories such as Textang II (fabric production).
During his visit to Filda, which takes place from 16-20 July, Adalberto da Costa Júnior also stated that work and the speedup of the economy play crucial role in harmony among the families.
The UNITA leader said that his visit to the FILDA mainly served to learn of the various products existing at the venue and encourage all those working at the trade fair.
This 37th edition of Luanda International Fair brings together 629 national and 15 foreign exhibitors. The event is promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP), in partnership with the company Eventos Arena.
In 2021, FILDA brought together more than 300 exhibitors represented by 18 countries and focused on the technological sector, supporting the development of agribusiness and industry.
The first Luanda International Fair took place in 1983, 39 years ago.
