Luanda – An overall 216 students have graduated this year at the Telecommunications High Institute (ITEL) representing an added value to the telecommunications and information technology labour market.
Of the new graduates, 97 specialised in Electronics and Telecommunications, 88 in Computer Science and another 31 attended the Computer Science and Multimedia Systems course.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony, Cláudio Gonçalves, ITEL Principal, Cláudio Gonçalves, said the technical and professional training plays a vital role in the progress and development of Angola.
The Principal recalled the commitment of the Telecommunications Institute to empower students with relevant skills and knowledge, preparing them to face the challenges and opportunities in the dynamic world of telecommunications and information technologies.
The director encouraged students to "be a source of inspiration for others" having urged them to use skills and competences to make a difference in the world, both professionally and in the community in which they belong.
ITEL is an institution that plays a fundamental pillar in the development of technical education in Angola. PPA/Amp/jmc
