Catabola - The secretary of State for Energy, Arlindo Carlos, stated Sunday in Catabola, Bié Province, that investments in the electricity sector will boost productive activities, for rapid development in different regions of the country.
Arlindo Carlos worked this Sunday in this central province of the country, where he checked the progress of energy projects in the municipalities of Andulo, Nharêa, Catabola and Cuito.
According to the secretary of State, investments in the sector, among the various gains, will also boost agricultural production, to combat poverty among the population.
Therefore, he assured that the government will continue to work to improve the supply of electricity, through the integration of four municipalities of this province into the national grid, very shortly.
During his stay in Bié, Arlindo Carlos visited, in the municipality of Andulo, the thermal plant and the land where the new electrical substation will be built, which will have a capacity of 20 megawatts.
In Nharêa, the secretary of State for Energy verified the ongoing construction work on the electrical substation, as well as being informed about the town's electrification project.
Already in Catabola, the governor official visited the electrification project in this location.
Meanwhile, the deputy-governor for the technical and infrastructure area, Edgar Hilário, appealed to entrepreneurs to invest in the productive sector of the province, highlighting that the constraints that existed with electricity supply has already been overcome.
