Lubango - The Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technology and Media (MINTCS), Mario Oliveira, on Friday urged entrepreneurs to take better advantage of the Angolan government's investments in the space program, fiber optics and connection to the international cable network.
Speaking at the opening of the IV Business and Connectivity Forum of the Media Nova Group, the Minister said that the government's investments in telecommunications, information and communication technologies are available to the business community and the entire social and economic fabric to improve the quality of research, production and agribusiness.
Mario Oliveira highlighted the national space program, the terrestrial fiber optic network, adherence to international submarine cables and the contribution of national operators to the expansion and modernization of telecommunications networks.
The Minister encouraged the use of these tools to provide better quality in research and mining production, as well as in agribusiness, stressing that technological modernization, the use of tools and digital literacy must be a priority in the country to achieve the goals set in the productive and commercial sectors.
The 4th edition of the Business and Connectivity Forum, with the theme "The geological maps of Huíla, Namibe and Cunene, as well as agribusiness in the southern region", will last two days and will focus on the creation of an extractive and processing industry that can contribute to the economic stability of Angola in particular and the world in general.
