Luanda – Angola needs to put in place a strategy for the massification of property title, creation of a single window for property registration and a real estate arbitration court in order to promote the real estate market and reduce the housing shortage in the country.
The National Institute of Housing consultant Augusto Fernandes on Monday told ANGOP, in Luanda, that the creation of a single window for property registration would facilitate and stimulate the national property market.
He also highlights the value of ownership of real estate because once the property is registered, the possibility of obtaining credit and housing investments opens up.
Augusto Fernandes added that the approval of the Fiduciary Alienation Law is also essential for the use of property as collateral in real estate financing contracts and it reduces the risk for the creditor and makes financing more accessible for borrower.
Regarding the creation of a specific arbitration court for the real estate sector, the consultant said that it would increase the legal protection, speed up the resolution of conflicts and stimulate the housing entrepreneurship while the concentration of the real estate legalization and licensing process in a single window of the property registration would make the purchase and sale of faster and more efficient.
