Luanda - On Monday, the National Institute of Statistics (INE), officially opened the data collection, across the country, from at least 6,000 companies in the agricultural, cattle-breeding and aquaculture sectors.
According to a note that ANGOP had access this Tuesday, this is the last phase of the Agricultural and Fisheries Census (RAPP), which started in 2019, for which the director-general of that entity, Chaney Rosa John, calls for greater adhesion of entrepreneurs from these sectors.
He explained that the data to be collected from companies could be important for decision-making by the government, businesspersons and researchers, considering that, for this phase, the Institute mobilized 122 enumerators, who are working on data collection.
In this process, the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries will be responsible for additional surveys, in order to obtain more accurate data on that sector.
The technical coordinator of the Agricultural and Fisheries Census, Domingos Silva, presented, on the occasion, the phases of the census.
According to the official, after the data collection from companies in the agricultural and aquaculture segments, it is expected the presentation of the results of such surveys between the months of October and November this year.
The phases prior to the present one, whose initial date was changed due to Covid-19, consists of collecting data from peasant families in Angola, in the referred production sub-sectors.
