Luanda - The honorary consul of Indonesia in Angola, Vicente Sebastião Inácio, on Tuesday in Luanda, said that private Indonesian investors are interested in assessing the opportunities that exist in Angolan territory, with a focus on fish processing.
The diplomat was speaking to ANGOP after a meeting with the Minister of Fisheries and Marine Resources, Cármen do Sacramento Neto, at the Classic Administrative Complex in Talatona.
In addition to his self-introduction as Indonesia's honorary consul in Angola, Vicente Sebastião Inácio made the first approach on the imperative of co-operation between the two countries in the fisheries and marine resources sector.
"At this meeting, we discussed Indonesia's provision of specialists to train staff in Angola for aquaculture activities, with emphasis on the production of tilapia, aka cacusso, catfish and shrimp," he said.
The Angolan citizen, who has been Indonesia's honorary consul in Angola since July 2023, is a mechanical engineer who graduated from the António Agostinho Neto University and has a postgraduate degree in petroleum engineering from the French Petroleum Institute.
He began his professional career in the food industry between 1979 and 1983, after joining Sonangol, and spent 40 years in the oil sector. MRA/DOJ
