Luanda - The National Institute for Support to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (INAPEM) is working with provincial governments to increase the number of registrations for the second edition of the “Expo Made in Angola” (EFA2023), to be held on November 15th to 18th, in the Luanda – Bengo Special Economic Zone (ZEE).
The information was provided today by the INAPEM director, Osvaldo Rasgado, explaining that, to date, there are 76 registered companies, 31 of which adhere to the Made in Angola Seal and there are others yet to join.
Osvaldo Rasgado, who was speaking at the Briefing of the Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP), said that current data indicate the existence of 237 companies adhering to the Made in Angola Service and 927 products with a seal.
He made it known that the 927 products are represented throughout the country, with Luanda representing around 55%, followed by Benguela, Bié and Huambo, “with the eastern provinces continuing to have low numbers”.
According to the source, INAPEM proceeded with another strategy of granting discounts of 55% on the value of registrations for companies participating in the Made in Angola Service (SFA).
The first edition of Made in Angola EXPO (EFA2022) was attended by 16 provinces.
From January 2024, public institutions will be required to purchase goods and services with Service Made in Angola (SFA).
The SFA is an initiative of the Angolan Executive that arises with the aim of encouraging national production and consumption and responding to the challenges that arise with the approval of measures to mitigate the economic and financial crisis.
