Luanda – The One-Stop Shop for Companies (GUE) will carry out a campaign to formalize more than 15 thousand national and international firms as from the 17th of this month.

At a press conference to present the campaign, the general director of GUE, Ms Leandra Gomes, stated that the activity aims to present the institution's services, with emphasis on the online platform for formalizing companies.

She stated that the campaign has the support of the European Union and ends in June. It aims to boost the national and international business community, contributing to the creation and legalization of new companies in a simple, fast and digital way.

"We are prepared and have a support area that provides the online service and the web application is updated 24 hours a day", she stressed.

She stated that there is no bureaucracy, but rather a lack of knowledge among users about the services provided by the counter, stating that, from January to date, 10,000 companies have been created, with the goal of reaching 50,000 by the end of 2025.

The challenge for the institution is to expand services, especially in the Lobito Corridor.

In turn, the Head of Cooperation of the Delegation of the European Union in Angola, Mateja Peternelj, stated that the activity will facilitate the installation of companies, the generation of jobs and the diversification of the Angolan economy.

She said that the European Union’s objective is to help develop the private sector and help young entrepreneurs set up businesses,” she stressed.

The GUE is supervised by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, whose specific purpose is to speed up the processes of incorporation, amendment, termination and similar acts of individual commercial companies and cooperatives.
