Luanda - The Volkswagen Group South Africa on Monday, in Pretoria, South Africa, expressed interest in setting up a vehicle assembly unit in Angola, during an audience granted by the Angolan Ambassador to South Africa, Rui Orlando Xavier, to a representative team of the Volkswagen Group.

 According to a press release from the Angolan Embassy in South Africa, the Volkswagen delegation learned about the possibility of expanding its investment in Angola, through the opening of a vehicle assembly line.

 It adds that with the information gathered during the meeting, the Volkswagen Group intends to meet the needs of new customers in the Angolan market, offering quality cars at competitive prices.

 "After consolidating its reputation in South Africa, Volkswagen wants to expand its business to other markets, and Angola is one of its priorities," emphasizes the note.

 The Volkswagen Group Africa delegation was represented by the Manager of Strategy and Corporate Policy and New Business Development, Pierre Cedric Senghor, and the Head of Strategy and Business, Ms. Nthabiseng Komane.

 Established in 1946, Volkswagen Group South Africa is a subsidiary of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft (VWAG) of Germany.

 The Volkswagen Group sells its products in several countries and its main brands are Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Skoda, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, Jetta and Ducati.
