Chinese business group wants to invest in Cuanza-Norte

Ndalatando - The Chinese business group China Tiesiju Civil Engineering Group CO, LTD (CTCE), intends to invest in the province of Cuanza-Norte, in the agriculture, mining and infrastructure sectors, the group's general director for Southern and Central Africa, Li XiaoGanog, said Thursday, in this northern Province.

He was speaking at the end of the meeting he held with the provincial governor, João Diogo Gaspar and members of the local government.

The official highlighted that Cuanza-Norte constitutes one of the group's investment priorities in Angola and the African continent, through the implementation of projects that contribute to the development of the province.

He pointed out the existence of deposits of mineral resources, arable land, abundant availability of water and energy as factors that determined the choice of the province as a priority for the group's investment.

In Cuanza-Norte, CTCE intends to invest in rice production, social housing construction, road infrastructure, water distribution systems, exploration of precious metals, staff training and in the industry sector.

He revealed that at this moment, steps are being taken between the local government and the company, with a view to creating conditions for the establishment of its structures in the province.

In turn, the governor of Cuanza-Norte, João Diogo Gaspar, highlighted the economic potential, as well as the geographical location of the province in relation to large consumption centers, as factors that can contribute to the success of investments.

He also added that the province offers many investment opportunities in the areas of infrastructure, water, roads and mining exploration.

CTCE is a subsidiary of the state-owned company China Railway Engineering Corporation, which operates in several African countries where it participates in several infrastructure construction projects.
