Luanda – The mobile phone telecommunication company UNITEL was awarded Wednesday the grand prize "Gold Lion" of the 37th edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA), held from July 16 to 20 at Luanda/Bengo Special Economic Zone (ZEE).
The company also received the Best Participation Telecommunications and Communication Technology Award, while the award for FILDA's Personality went to the minister of Economy and Planning, Mário Caetano João.
The theme presented by the company at FILDA was based on the development of innovative solutions, in the face of the commitment to quality with its customers and the contribution the company provides in various areas such as education, health and economic entrepreneurship.
Services such as Net Casa, Bazza, 5G, UNITEL Money, UNITEL EMPRESAS, and UNICANDA were presented at the fair by the company.
The minister of Economy and Planning, Mário Caetano João Caetano, gave high marks to this year's edition of FILDA.
"We had to reject some participation because there was no space. We are looking at the possibility of including thematic fairs on certain international themes. We have to join efforts to make Angola a showcase of all the good that is being done. We want to make Angola a showcase of Africa", the minister said.
The Arena Events Group CEO, Bruno Albernaz, considered the balance "extremely positive" for having registered more than 33,000 visitors that, according to him, represents a 40% increase with more than 8 foreign international missions present at the biggest showcase of the country.
The 37th edition of the Luanda International Fair brought together 629 exhibitors and 15 countries.
During the event, there were exhibitions, conferences, as well as a space called "Startup Summit 2022", that is the first national digital entrepreneurship summit, bringing together in debate various entrepreneurs that showed the potential and address the opportunities of the Angolan market.
