Luanda - The government plans to electrify 126 localities, as part of a broad program to benefit more than three million Angolans in rural areas, the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, announced this Monday, in Luanda.
When delivering the Message on the State of the Nation, on the occasion of the Solemn Opening Session of the 2023-2024 Parliamentary Year of the Fifth Legislature, the also head of the EXecutive said that the aim is to reach an electrification rate of 50% by 2027.
Available data indicate that Angola's average electrification rate is around 43.7%.
