Luanda – The Angolan government is currently gathering information to elaborate the report of the National Development Plan (PDN 2018-2022) concerning the second quarter of 2022, the national director for Studies and Planning, Luís Epalanga, said Thursday.

Speaking at the usual briefing of the Ministry of Economy and Planning (MEP), Luís Epalanga stressed that the information received refers to the months of April, May and June, being the basis for the preparation of the report of the second Quarter of 2022.

Epalanga said the report aims to present the level of implementation of the 70 actions programme of the PDN 2018-2022 and assess the degree of execution of the goals programmed until June 2022.

The director added that the MEP continues to work with the Ministry of Finance, National Reserve Bank of Angola and the Offices of Study, Planning and Statistics (GEPE).

Luís Epalanga also highlighted the data from the National Consumer Price Index (IPCN), which registered a variation of 0.84% between May and June 2022.

The data, Epalanga said, indicates a 0.09 percent slowdown, with inflation registered at 22.96% representing a 2.36 percent decrease in relation to June 2021.
