Uige - The provincial governor of Uíge, José Carvalho da Rocha, defended Sunday, the need to speed up the execution of the rehabilitation work of the Sanza-Pombo/Buengas road, on a route of 89 kilometers.
José Carvalho da Rocha, who traveled this Sunday to the municipality of Buengas, visited the aforementioned road section, whose works began in March 2023.
'The work, which is at 30 percent physical execution, is not moving at the pace we expected', he lamented.
He said that, two months later, after the visit to the section by the Minister of Public Works, the road continues to register delays in the pace of execution of the work.
Therefore, the governor defended the need to continue advocating with the Ministry of Public Works, Urbanism and Housing so that the work is completed on time, in 2025, in order to improve circulation between the locality and the municipality of Sanza-Pombo.
