Sumbe - More than three hundred managers of budgetary units of the state's local administration bodies in Cwanza-Sul Province have been participating, since Thursday, in the city of Sumbe, in a seminar on the rules for implementing the 2024 General State Budget (OGE).
The province of Cuanza-Sul, in the 2024 financial year, has more than Kz 95.4 billion ($114.41 million) for the social sector.
Of this resource, 48% will be channeled to general services, 26% to the health sector and 14% to the education sector.
In the two-day seminar, promoted by the Provincial Finance Department of Cuanza Sul, in partnership with the General Secretariat of the Government.
The seminar aims to update the rules for implementing the OGE, in order to make it more efficient, within the scope of centralizing the functionality of the State's budgetary bodies.
At the opening, the provincial governor of Cuanza Sul, Job Capapinha, said that the seminar aims to standardize the technical language for executing the OGE and increase knowledge of public managers on integrated work.
He indicated that it is important to have transparent and responsible financial management, with a view to ensuring that public resources are used efficiently for the benefit of the population.
The act was attended by vice-governors, provincial delegates, directors of provincial offices, municipal administrators and managers of budgetary units.
