Luanda- A new Fresmart store has been opened in Luanda's Maianga district that provided 40 direct jobs through a 180 million kwanzas investment.
So far, the group has invested more than 900 million kwanzas in the opening of 28 Fresmart stores and plans to open more stores by the end of this year, with the aim to explore other strategic locations beyond the country's capital, taking into account the lack of diversity of supermarkets in certain regions.
According to the Fresmart's operations director, Hélder Inácio, the expansion of Fresmart stores is beneficial to the country's economic and social development.
"The opening of more supermarket chains is an important lever for the promotion of domestic production, since 60% of the products sold in its stores are of national origin", Inacio stressed.
The group, he explained, intends to contribute to the development of the communities.
According to Hélder Inácio, the Newaco Group is eager to set partnerships with national producers.
The entrepreneurial group was create in the year 2005, in Luanda.
