Luanda - Conferences and round tables on topics related to encouraging and promoting national production are one of the highlights of the 39th edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA 2024), which kicks off this morning in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE).
Taking place until July 28, under the motto ‘Food security and international partnership: the binomial of economic diversification’, the fair is the biggest showcase for national promotion, doing business and promoting jobs.
Participants will analyze, debate and exchange experiences on various sectors, especially agro-industry and trade, promoting, especially from Wednesday, approaches on topics such as ‘quality: mechanisms and tools for promoting and internationalizing national production’, ‘the role of INAPEM in promoting initiatives to stimulate the economy’ and ‘opportunities for developing industry in Angola and the Southern African Development Community (SADC )region’.
According to the organizers’ program to which ANGOP had access, the first day of the event (23) will be marked, among other activities, by speeches, the cutting of the inaugural ribbon and an official visit to the exhibition, whose total area is 140,000 square meters, with the useful area occupying more than 44,000 square meters.
The following days will analyze issues relating to ‘the challenges and opportunities of licensing commercial activity with the simplifica process’, ‘the agro-industrial sector in Angola: reality, challenges and opportunities’, ‘the importance of logistics chains, certification and investment in training’ and ‘the Lobito Corridor project and financial instruments to support investment’.
The event includes the topic of licensing industrial activity and the legislative instruments in force, as well as the Angola-Portugal Economic Forum, which will be honored by the presence of the Portuguese Prime Minister, Luís Montenegro, who is visiting the country as part of the strengthening of economic, political and cultural relations between the two states.
