Luanda - The volume of direct business carried out by exhibitors and the ecosystem of the 39th edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA 2024) reached 4 billion 287 million and 800 thousand kwanzas, an indicator that justifies the event as a catalyst for the economic growth of Angola.
According to a press release from the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, sent on Thursday to ANGOP, the estimated volume of business generated by exhibitors, within the scope of the fair, is 54 billion 175 million kwanzas.
Consolidating itself as the largest business exchange in the country, FILDA 2024, which took place from the 23rd to the 28th of July, in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE), brought together 1,771 participations, including direct and indirect, with a notable representation of 85% of national exhibitors (1,505) and the presence of 19 countries.
According to the note, the fair attracted a total of 98,635 visitors, as well as generating a significant impact in the creation of 2,280 temporary jobs, mobilizing around 4,854 employees at the service of participating companies, providing considerable economic activity.
With these numbers, the document states, FILDA 2024 reaffirms its strategic importance for the economic development of Angola, promoting the integration of national and international companies and stimulating a better business environment in the country.
Under the motto 'Food security and international partnership: the binomial of economic diversification”, the largest business exchange assumed itself as a commercial event of international dimension in Angola, providing an opportunity to consolidate partnerships in the market and strengthen commercial relations, according to the exhibitors.
Promoted by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, in partnership with Eventos Arenas, FILDA constitutes the biggest showcase for national promotion, doing business and promoting jobs.
The 2024 edition, held in an area of 144,000 square meters, 42,000 of which are recreational exhibition areas, was highlighted among the 19 participating countries by South Africa, Namibia, Italy, Germany, Brazil, Portugal, USA, South Korea, Turkey and Canada.
Taking place in the ZEE – Special Economic Zone, Luanda – Bengo is a direct or indirect invitation to invest in Angola. QCB/VC/DOJ
