Luanda – The Business Department of the US Embassy in Angola will make its debut at the 38th Edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA 2023), from July 18th to the 22nd, in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE).
The information was provided by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arena Group, Bruno Albernaz, stressing that the event is expected to bring together 750 companies, and should be held during a period when the 30 years of diplomacy between Angola and the United States of America are being celebrated.
“The big news is the United States, which is participating in the official fair for the first time”, he reinforced.
Bruno Albernaz points out that another novelty is the return of Brazil, with the participation of the Association of Brazilian Businesspeople and the Embassy of Brazil in Angola.
The businessman made it known that, at the moment, there are eight confirmed countries, namely Portugal, Italy, Indonesia, Turkey, United States of America, Germany, Brazil and Japan.
Regarding the number of companies, Bruno Albernaz says that, at this point, there are 550 confirmed participations, with the guarantee of reaching the intended 750 companies in the coming weeks.
“For this edition, digital economy emerges as the great banner, in what is the frontier for development to be in fact effective and so that we can have much more results, taking into account our business intentions”, he added.
The 38th Edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA 2023) returns from the 18th to the 22nd of July, in the Special Economic Zone (ZEE), under the motto “Digital Economy, the new frontier of the world”.
In the previous Edition, the 37th of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA), took place from the 16th to the 20th of July at the ZEE, and brought together around 629 exhibitors and 15 countries, in a universe of more than 32.000 visitors.
The Luanda International Fair is a showcase for the national production, emphasizing the diversification of the economy, business and the promotion of employment.
Since its first Edition, in 1983, FILDA is seen by exhibitors as a showcase of Angola's capacities and potential, to stimulate the increase of national production and the launching of new economic bridges.
The regularity in which FILDA is held has contributed to business development, the improvement of the business environment and the promotion and emergence of new companies and investments in the Angolan market.
FILDA was, until 2016, organized by different management entities, having, since the thirty-third edition, intervention by the Ministry of Economy and Planning as event promoter and Eventos Arena as organizers. HEM/AC/CF/jmc
