Third edition of advertising festival set for this month

Luanda – The 3rd edition of the advertising festival named FESTIPUB is scheduled to happen from 25 to 28 of the current month in the Province of Luanda and will have the participation of content from Cabo Verde and Mozambique, as well as 12 new categories.

The festival, which was presented this Wednesday, will award prizes in 70 categories, including the "FESTIPUB Grand Prix", 17 Platinum Awards and 52 gold, silver and bronze awards for each category, and will take place at the Talatona Convention Hotel, in a hybrid format.

In addition to the new 12 categories, another new feature is the participation of content produced by state organisations, ministries, provincial governments and other bodies.

The event's jury is another novelty, as in addition to the Angolans, it will also include Portuguese, Brazilian, Cabo Verdean and Mozambican specialists.

For this, those who are interested should submit their applications until the 9th of the current month through the webpage https:// www.festipub.ao/index.html.

At the official presentation ceremony, the director-general of FESTIPUB, Gildo Mariano, said that companies and individual content creators from Angola and the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP) could take part in the festival.

He added that the 12 new categories include "Informal market", "New talents" and "Health and well-being".

On the other hand, Gildo Mariano explained that a work can compete in different categories and that they hope to register around 500 works, adding that in the first two days it will hold the “Festitalk”, time for interaction and networking, among the sector´s operators, as well as a series of talks and immediate training sessions.

The event's coordinator, Antónia Páscoa, emphasised the importance of FESTIPUB, as it serves to give more visibility to the company and the projet’s creator since its results can definitely set mutual opportunities.

The first edition of the festival held in 2021, received 340 applications in 35 categories and awarded more than 100 prizes. The second edition registered 375 works for 45 categories and 110 prizes were awarded.

FESTIPUB is a 100% Angolan body founded in 2019, with recognised experience in organising and producing festivals, corporate events and awards galas, essentially linked to the marketing, communication, advertising and audiovisual sectors

One of the organisers´ objectives is to promote and reward excellence in creativity in corporate communication, rewarding advertisers, agencies, production companies and studios whose work drives the advertising and communication market in general, both nationally and internationally, year after year.
