Luanda – The 15th Technological Innovation fair of the Luanda Telecommunications Institute (FITITEL) 2024 edition, scheduled to take place from the 12th to the 14th of this month, in Luanda, will have as its main focus technology linked to the digital economy and the country's financial dependence.
The event running under the motto “Fintech as a driver of the digital economy and financial dependence”, serves to exhibit and exchange experiences acquired by students from the Luanda Telecommunications Institute (ITEL) throughout their student career.
In addition to the traditional exhibition of technological projects developed by the institute's students, the fair also plans to provide an important space for institutions in the Information and communications technology (ICT) and Financial sectors, national companies and startups in the entrepreneurial ecosystem to present their innovations, according to a press release to which ANGOP had access on Wednesday.
According to the note, the motto of this edition aims to stimulate debate about digital transformation and the impact that technology can bring to the financial sector, especially in the current context of the national market, in addition to promoting greater proximity between institutions in the two sectors.
The fair held annually with the promotion of ITEL, it has the institutional support of telecommunications, information technology and social communication companies, with emphasis on the Communications Development Support Fund (FADCOM), Angolan Communication Institute (INACOM), Nossa Seguros, Zap Media, Angola Telecom and NCR Angola.
According to the ministry of telecommunication, information technology and media, the event symbolizes a significant time that celebrates the conquest of the students and reinforces ITEL´s commitment with the educational excellence and the training of competent professionals.
FITITEL aims to showcase the skills and competencies that students acquired during the four years of training, presenting solutions that solve economic and social problems.
The main focus is also on presenting the entrepreneurial potential of new startups generated from the innovative projects on display, creating a vibrant and creative environment that stimulates both the local and international community.
