Caxito – The 10th Edition of the Banana Fair (FEIBA 2024), in the Province of Bengo, opens its doors today (Jun 26), at the panguila market, with over 500 exhibitors and around 600 tons of different products.
Promoted by Bengo's provincial government, it will run until the 28th, and expects a business volume of around 100 million kwanzas.
In addition to the exhibition and marketing of products, farmers will participate in lectures on themes linked to agriculture, management and nutrition.
Cooperatives, associations and individual farmers from the Bengo 6 municipalities will exhibit several products, with emphasis on bananas.
Among the products to be displayed are cassava, sweet and reindeer potatoes, oranges, limes, palm oil, cabbage, mandarin orange, eggplants, groundnuts, corn, sugarcane, pumpkin, among others.
Turiagro, Novagrolider, private companies providing various services linked directly or indirectly to agriculture, manufacturing industry, commerce and the mining sector are participating in the event.
