Zango – Farmers associated with cooperatives in the commune of Calumbo, municipality of Viana, in Luanda, are satisfied with the mechanism for facilitating access to credit from the Credit Guarantee Fund (FGC) and its partners.
According to the head of the Nova Kakila agricultural cooperative, António Simão, the FGC initiative, which aims to reach communities to inform the methodology for obtaining credit, is beneficial for farmers and encourages the increase in agricultural production in the locality.
Speaking to the press, as part of a consultation meeting between the FGC and partners, held on Tuesday (20), the leader of this cooperative also praised the support that the Fund has provided to farmers in issuing documents with INAPEM.
The president of the Baixa de Kiculo cooperative, Moisés Satoca, said that the meeting allowed for more clarification on the form of bank loans, which “does not consist of receiving monetary values”, but means of work for the development of sustainable projects.
In turn, the Credit Guarantee Fund technician, Kenio Pascoal, stated that they decided to hold a consultation meeting with their partners to transmit the necessary parameters for granting credit, taking into account the agricultural and fishing potential of the municipality of Calumbo.
He assured that a Support Line for Sustainable Projects is open and available for agricultural cooperatives that wish to take on the challenge.
