Luanda - The plants of the Grupo Carrinho have recently obtained the International Food Safety Certification FSSC 22000 from the General Superintendence Society (SGS).
According to a note that ANGOP had access on Saturday, the institution’s recognition reflects the Group's commitment to food safety and product quality, in line with the goals and objectives of the Agenda 2030.
It highlights that the certification of the Group's factories will strengthen Carrinho's role in the agri-food sector, given its commitment to increase food safety and contribute to public health and the quality of basic food products in the country.
The certification is considered a milestone that takes into account the achievement of goals to continue strengthening food safety promotes high quality standards that benefit both local consumers and the international market, the statement said.
The certification of the Food Safety System (FSSC 22000) is one of the most demanding standards in the food sector, guaranteeing all stages of the production chain.
The General Superintendence Society (SGS), founded in Rouen, France, is a world leader in inspection, verification, testing and certification. It has more than 140 years of experience and is present in more than 140 countries.
The Carrinho Group owns the largest industrial park in Angola and leads the largest private agricultural development program and the largest social responsibility and generosity program.
