Ndalatando – More than 15 thousand citizens visited the sixth edition of Expo Cuanza-Norte, held from May 26th to June 1st of this year, in the city of Ndalatando.
Promoted since 2018 by the Angolan company C-Calas, in partnership with the Government of the Cuanza-Norte province, the exhibition aims to boost the private sector and promote agricultural production.
This year, the initiative recorded a turnover of 480 million kwanzas.
Speaking to ANGOP, some exhibitors highlighted the fact that the event hosted more companies, which allowed expanding contacts for partnerships and exchange of experience.
In this vein, Virginia Domingos, from the Virginia Agro-Livestock farm, said that the fair had a lot of competition and that she was able to sell most of the products she took, such as sugarcane, beans, pumpkin, potatoes and bananas.
Regarding the fair's timing, she considered it opportune because it was at the end of the month, a period in which workers receive their salaries and have greater purchasing power.
Corroborating the idea, Graciano Cacumba, an exhibitor from the province of Namibe, stated that despite the economic crisis, he achieved a good turnover.
He said he was excited about the result, so he doesn't think about missing an opportunity to promote his business, within the framework of entrepreneurship.
The exhibitor is of the opinion that the organization should have its own infrastructure to accommodate exhibitors, taking into account that some spent the night in tents set up in the exhibition space.
The exhibitor from the province of Uíge, Pedro Lopes, revealed that he took the opportunity to establish partnership contacts with municipal administrations, companies and citizens, with the aim of materializing his desire to open a distribution point in Cuanza-Norte.
Pedro Lopes is a representative of the Small and Medium Company Cudiacussala, a producer of cookies, cakes and bread made from agricultural products, such as cassava and sweet potatoes.
The exhibitors are of the opinion that events of this kind should happen more frequently, to promote entrepreneurship and agricultural production. IMA/OHA/DOJ
