Dundo - The second edition of Expo-Dundo, a multi-sector fair, closed on Sunday with sales estimated at more than 300 million kwanzas, compared to 230 million kwanzas reached in the first edition.
The Expo lasted four days, with 280 exhibitors from the most varied sectors of economic activity and aimed to re-launch, energize and provide opportunities, especially in agriculture, mining, telecommunications and commerce.
As part of the festivities marking the 46th anniversary of Lunda-Norte, the event included exhibitors from the provinces of Lunda-Sul, Moxico, Malanje, Cabinda, Cuanza-Norte, Uíge and Luanda.
Aimed at large, medium and small companies, the fair sought to promote business, culture and tourism, maximize partnerships and showcase local potential and production capacity.
Agriculture, banking, mining, transport, catering, hotels, telecommunications, energy, water and service provision dominated the exhibition.
Speaking to journalists at the end of the activity, the governor of Lunda-Norte, Deolinda Satula Vilarinho, said the government and partners intend to attract more foreign investors and turn the event into an international business showcase in future editions and that the results obtained in this edition encourage the it continue and implement significant improvements next year.
