Ndalatando - The 6th edition of Expo Cuanza-Norte, to be held from 28 May to 1 June this year, in the city of Ndalatando, expects to welcome 252 exhibitors, surpassing the previous fair, which had 150 exhibitors.
The event running under the motto ”Cuanza-Norte, hand in hand let's intensify national production”, will welcome exhibitors from the provinces of Cabinda, Namibe, Malanje, Uíge, Huambo and Luanda, as well as local participation, who will present products related to the trade, agriculture, cattle breeding, hotel, tourism, catering, telecommunications, banking and service sectors.
Organised by the company C-Calas Angola, in partnership with the provincial government of Cuanza-Norte, the business exchange is part of the celebrations marking the 68th anniversary of the municipality of Ndalatando, the capital city of this province.
With the aim of boosting the local business community and launching it into the market for business partnerships and opportunities, the expo will take place over an area of 20,000 square metres, where several exhibition stands have already been set up.
According to the fair's organisers, the doors to the largest business exchange in that northern province of the country will be open from 2pm on Tuesday.
In this regard, the chairman of the Board of Directors of C-Calas, Carlos dos Santos Calas, said that the number of exhibitors for this edition exceeded the expectations of the organisation, which had expected 180 traders.
Speaking to ANGOP, the manager said that the number of exhibitors at the current edition demonstrates the considerable increase in national production in general and in the province in particular.
He pointed to the participation, for the first time, of two car dealership companies and another supplying machinery and equipment for processing agricultural products as the novelties of the fair.
Exhibitors seek new partnerships
For exhibitors, the event serves as a business opportunity and provides a favourable environment for establishing partnerships over the five days.
Graciano Cacoma, an exhibitor from Namibe who has taken part in every edition, considers the fair a unique opportunity to increase sales
The participant, who will be exhibiting costume jewellery and manufactured art objects, is hoping for a massive turnout to boost his sales.
The representative of the Cudicussala company from Uíge province, Jorge Manuel, hopes to establish a partnership with the Cuanza-Norte government through the event, to supply school meals.
He justified his intention because his company is committed to producing school meals based on local products, which are cheaper and healthier, as well as boosting local production.
His company brought products such as aubergine, sweet potato, cassava and ginger biscuits, as well as cassava and sweet potato bread to the expo.
