Malanje - The Ministry of Energy and Water plans this year 16,500 new electrical connections, in the province of Malanje. 2,500 will be in the municipality of Cangandala and 14,000 in the suburbs of Malanje city.
According to Minister João Baptista Borges, who was speaking at the end of a meeting between a ministerial delegation and local businesspeople, the electrification plan will be fed by the Malanje substation, a factor that will imply the strengthening of the Capanda / Malanje line.
The municipality of Cangandala (28 kilometers from the city of Malanje) will be the fourth municipality to benefit from electricity from the public network, after Malanje, Cacuso and Calandula, adding that in the remaining 10 municipalities, which are relatively more distant from the headquarters and installed electrical system, it will advance with renewable energies.
