Luanda - Angolan Government will hand over the 2023 Draft State Budget to the National Assembly (AN) by December 15, with a vote due on February 15 next year, ANGOP has learnt.
A press note cites the Ministry of Finance as saying that while the discussions on the process get underway, the expenses for January and February 2023 will be covered with the budget in force.
The document states that technical work is in progress for the drafting of the proposal of 2023 budget in coordination with the bodies of the budgetary system.
It adds that this year, exceptionally, due to the holding of the last elections, as established by Law n.º 24/12, of 22 August, the elected holder of the Executive Power sends to the National Assembly the final proposal of the OGE, regarding the subsequent financial year, until the 15th of December.
The National Assembly votes on the respective proposal by February 15 of the year to which the budget refers.
