Luanda- National experts meet Tuesday to analyse the current state of the national quality infrastructure (NQI) for the Angolan agri-food sector, focusing mainly on fisheries, tropical fruits and coffee.

This will be during the event that will take place from the 9 to 11 May, sponsored by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), in partnership with the Angolan Ministry of Industry and Trade.

The event, dubbed “Joint Training Workshop”, will discuss the role of NQIs and how they are used to demonstrate that products and services meet the requirements specified by regulators and the market for an efficient functioning of domestic markets.

Angop learnt that the meeting will also address the international recognition of the NQIs to facilitate access to international markets, as well as assess the gaps and limitations in Angola´s current infrastructure.

The three-day workshop will also recommend measures and share information on international experience and best practices in the field.
