Lubango - Twenty Zambian businesspeople interested in investing in agriculture, mining and tourism in the province of Huíla will participate in the 1st Economic Forum with Huila counterparts in March 2023.
The event is intended to boost business growth in both countries, said the President of the International Business Consulting of Zambia and Consultant of the Embassy of Zambia in Angola, Pedro Coelho da Silva.
Pedro da Silva was speaking at the end of an audience granted by the governor of Huíla, Nuno Mahapi.
After quoting the example of the meeting on the Benguela's Economic Potential, held last November, the source added that now it is the turn for Huíla province, taking into account the importance to exchange experiences, to prioritise the investments.
He said that the Forum was supposed to take place in February, but according to the governor, it was shifted for March in order to prepare the logistics and the budgets for the authorities and the companies.
He highlighted that they are in contact with Zambia, through the Development Agency, which is the counterpart of AIPEX, so that the forum is good and useful for all.
As a result, according to the source, they hope to contribute to the province's wealth, creating new jobs and better wages for Angolan workers.
The provincial delegate of the Industrial Association of Angola (AIA), Francisco Chocolate, said that they are getting all set, in a healthy way, as they received institutional support from the provincial government.
He said that they want these Zambian businessmen to come to the province and find a healthy market for investment, as in addition to AIA, as a partner of International Business Consulting in Zambia, they are also AAPCIL, HOTOUR, FAJE, AME and CCGSA.
