Luanda - Angola expects to receive a prospecting visit from two Spanish business groups linked to hotels and tourism worldwide, the Angolan Minister of Tourism, Márcio Daniel, announced on Sunday in Germany.
According to the minister, who was speaking at the end of his visit to Germany, these are the Barceló Hotel Groups and Iberostar groups, both of which are international hotel chains, with more than 200 hotels in the world.
He stressed that the visit of these companies to Angola, later this semester, will bring a good perspective on the growth of the hospitality offer.
Márcio Daniel stressed that attracting investment, in the field of tourism, presupposes the organization of investors to travel and invest in the country, a fact that requires the creation of basic conditions for this investment to occur.
'We have to have all our areas of tourism potential sufficiently mapped, ordered and with feasibility studies of the projects that can be developed', he reinforced.
As for the visit to Germany, the minister said that the Angolan delegation worked with international tour operators, with the aim of drawing up plans to attract tourists to Angola on a large scale.
He said that, currently, the country receives international tourists who are mainly linked to business tourism.
In Frankfurt (Germany), the president of the Association of Independent Travel Agencies of Germany, Anke Budde, recognized Angola's tourism potential that attracts any visitor.
Barceló Hotel Group is a multinational family business that operates in the tourism sector. It is known for its resort experiences in coastal destinations.
The Iberostar group, on the other hand, is a Spanish multinational that operates in the tourism sector, known for its hotels and resorts, as well as travel clubs.
The Angolan delegation led by the Minister of Tourism, Márcio Daniel, worked in Spain, England and Germany, with a view to publicizing Angola's tourism potential in these European countries. AMC/QCB/DOJ
