Saurimo – The Vietnamese Ambassador to Angola, Duong Ching Chuc, expressed on Tuesday, in Saurimo, eastern Lunda-Sul Province, his interest in bringing businesspeople from his country to invest in farming and in the region's mining areas.
The diplomat, who will engage in 4 working-days in that part of the country, will visit places with agricultural potential, work and social meetings with the resident Vietnamese community.
Duong Ching Chuc stated that Lunda-Sul has fertile soils and water resources, factors that favor the implementation of several projects.
“We also want to relaunch commercial exchanges between businesspeople from my country and from the region, contributing to the process of diversifying the economy that the Angolan executive has been carrying out”, he said.
The ambassador held a meeting with the vice-governor for the economic and social sector, Mendes Gaspar, and different members of the government and municipal administration of Saurimo.
On the occasion, Mendes Gaspar stated that the region is open to Vietnamese investment in areas such as agriculture, real estate, mining, among others.
